I bought these poles for my wife who was finding that midway through the day of skiing her hands were killing her from squeezing the pole handles. With these poles she can relax her grip and still get full use of her poles all day. The only downside is that we worried that they would "walk" from the ski rack since there is nothing to attach the to a ski lock with no handle strap. That is the sad world we live in, they are very nice and there are plenty of less than honorable people out there that would like them for there own. I made some custom clips for them that allow me to lock them up, this is an option, or if you use ski check, either way they are a great buy, my wife loves them.
