I have owned a basic Schwinn-brand helmet for 20-years. I also recently purchased a new Bell-brand helmet. The newer design has a dial in the back to cinch-up the helmet around the skull. The ability to cinch the helmet provides a sense of safety and security. My wife wasn't satisfied with visibility aspect of the new Bell-brand helmet so she got me this Proviz-brand helmet. The fit is about the same. It has a dial to cinch-up the helmet like the Bell (and other universal-fit helmets). The helmet has a red LED light on the back dial and a white LED light on the front visor. Neither are very powerful and they both have fixed positions, so they cannot be aimed or leveled. That said, having any light is better than having no light. I have mounted alternative lights on the front and back of my helmet. Both of the aftermarket lights are self-leveling or allow for manual aiming. They're also much brighter and more visible than the helmet's built-in lights. Now, I only use the helmet's built-in lights as back-up. The aftermarket lights are as follows:

I like the high-viz aspect of this helmet. If I could find a lower priced helmet with the same fit and fluorescent, high-viz yellow coloring, I'd buy it and add the aftermarket lights.
