I bought this glove so that I could practice with my 8 year old little leaguer and wanted to buy something that would last a while. My hand would be considered small to average and this glove fits well. It takes a little work to break in but that is because it is leather and not some synthetic material that will need to be replaced in a couple of years. My other glove is a 40 year old Rawlings cather's mitt. I could see this glove lasting that long. Really nice for the price. Compare it to what you see at the local big box stores for a similar price, "NO COMPARISION", not even close!!
