The ARAS pack features a dual hydration sleeve, an adjustable quick release suspension system, 3 strategically placed drain holes, and bottle loops on the shoulder pads. It is constructed from lightweight, durable 1.1oz silicone impregnated ripstop nylon and is loaded with pockets: 2 large capacity mesh pockets, hip belt pockets, 2 wing pockets and a 6-1/2 zippered pocket on the hood. Cinch straps prevent the bottom from sagging when the pack is not full. Fits torso sizes 17? -19?. 3,200 cu. in. capacity. Weighs 20.8oz. Made in USA.

Very lightweight materials, nylon shell is somewhat translucent.

Simple design.

A Z-lite short pad fits nicely in the mesh area for back panel / stays.

It is a frameless pack with little load support.

With a foam pad inserted, 9 kg (20 lb) load is manageable.

Padding is adequate for a light pack.

Obviously, the materials are not as durable as those used in most backpacking packs, so caution is necessary with sharp / abrasive objects.

I wore the pack during an ~45 min. thunderstorm and contents did stay reasonably dry without a parka or pack cover.

The mesh pocket is amply sized for loads of wet stuff or items to be kept handy.
