I've coached our daughter's soccer team for a couple of years and this past season the Rec-Ed folks decided to up the resources with coach training and better equipment. One of the improvements is they gave each team a set of pop-up goals.

These come in a surprisingly light and small bag (~2.5 feet diameter x 3" thick for BOTH goals)

They pop up quickly. The tricky part is then inserting the tent pole devices in each corner that hold the goal open. What you need to do is obvious - a little practice and you should be good. These are lightweight and WILL get knocked out of place with a hard goal kick unless you use the small stakes which stow in the corners of the goal.

What isn't so obvious is how to fold. The instructions say to fold one corner to the diagonal opposite corner, but what you are really try fold it PAST the opposite corner as if you were trying to roll it up. THEN the goal will spring into the triple loop configuration which allows you to stow. A tri-band elastic holds each goal together until you get into the bag.

Overall, a nice design and a good value.
