Safariland's model 6360 is a distinctive design that features their Automatic Locking System (ALS). Model 6280 is the base for this holster design as it utilizes the unique SLS rotating hood design for a smoother single motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The 6360 is classified as a Level III Retention holster with the SLS as the primary security system; it also includes an internal locking device that retains the weapon in all directions when the primary device is open. This holster's design offers three distinct design differences from previous models. First, once the weapon is holstered, it "locks" it into place, providing an extra measure of security from standard Level II retention holsters. Second, the holsteris completely operable with the thumb, makingit very instinctive to use.. Finally, once the retetion devices are released, the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting or other motion required. The 6360 features a tensioning devce, molded sight track and SafariSuede lining to protect the gun 's sights and finish. Its wraparound construction and SafariLaminate Structure provide the strongest design combination available. I've been using another holster for the past five years and finally decided to make the transition after seeing a colleague with this same holster, I decided to give it a go. And, much like the title says, Safariland has failed to let me down- about 1/2 my belt (like, two other things) is Safariland, afterall.

While it may take me awhile to transition from a low-ride to a mid-ride, the draw sequence and automatic locking system within the holster are amazing and add an extra level of security that my old one did not. The draw sequence itself may seem intimidating, however a push forward of the thumb brings the hood forward where the very same digit naturally falls to the release where you pull it back, lift up and you're un-holstered. While I hope that no one ever has to find themselves in such a position to do so, your pistol can also be removed from the holster if you find yourself on the ground, which many other holsters cannot say.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone within the law enforcement or armed security fields.
