Mission Process Crank (Black) Review

Previously using Profile cranks for over the past decade, I was rather hesitant to try another crank. I did want to keep continue using 48 spline spindle, which is what led me to these, and trying to save a couple bucks. Upon first attempt at installing these, it quickly became apparent that the precision in the splines was not up to par with Profiles. There are visible abnormalities in the splines on the removable arm, which I thought could have been a type of "keying" to put them on in the right spot, but that doesn't seem true. after more than a handful attempts of putting on as tight as the compression bolt would go, removing, cleaning, and re-greasing, I finally got them on all the way, using a 6mm allen key socket on a 1/2" breaker bar. Hopefully, the difficulty in installation proves their strength.

another thing: there is a tiny fragment rattling around in the crank arm in the welded side. I could probably spray something sticky in there to stop it, but I'll tackle that the next time I need to change something. Also, it seems the spindle only goes half-way through the welded side crank arm half way. I'm hoping this isn't a weak link.

a quick test ride, something felt weird, but that could be something like my pedals being bent. I have yet to really test their durability, but after I do, I will edit this this.
