I use bands for Pilates exercise routines. The bands I've used in the past have been rubber latex. I'm not a fan. (1) They generally have some sort of 'powder' on them and an unappealing smell. (2) After a short time of use, they tend to bunch up and stick to themselves making quick transitions between exercise moves difficult. (3) They have a fairly short life. I decided to give the Rep Band a try. So far, I love them. All of the things I consider a drawback to the latex band, are not problems with the Rep Band. I've had mine now for a month so the jury's still out on how long they'll last (hence the 4 star rating), but I'm a happy camper at the moment. Although expensive, I think, in the end, you get more band for the money.
