This aerial picture of Comerica Park (I call it Tiger Park), home of the Detroit Tigers, shows the first night game played there - April 12, 2000. This was back when the stadium was two days old (it opened the day before). Back then the bullpen was in right field. The left field wall, without the bullpen in front, made it harder to hit home runs. Now the stadium has a new scoreboard installed just this year. Everything else is pretty much the same as it was the day the stadium opened in 2000. The stadium is known for its fun atmosphere which includes a carousel and Ferris wheel.

When it first opened, I still preferred the old Tiger Stadium, but Tiger Park has grown on me over the years. Really the only thing I don't care for with Tiger Park is the lack of overhead protection from the sun and rain, which is something Tiger Stadium had. I think Tiger Park could have been even better if it would have been built on the Detroit River front, but whatever.
