I purchased this blanket 5 yrs ago as a light wt turnout and underneath layer blanket(my retired mare is outside 24/7). I just finished 'repairs' on it for the 4th (and LAST)time. It does not hold up to being actually used a a turnout for a real horse who gallops, bucks, and lays down. Everything rips & tears & falls apart!!!! I purchased a heavier wt turnout (different brand-Turtleneck) at the same time i purchased the Tuffrider. They have been used together the past 5 yrs with the Turtleneck getting the outerwear/most abuse. Guess what?? I have NEVER had to 'repair' the Turtleneck!!!! I would NOT purchase this brand of blanket unless you never plan on using it!!!!!
