Made with water resistant nylon mesh material with synthetic overlay construction which is light, flexible, quick drying and highly breathable. Quicklace lacing system ensures a secure and customized fit. Sensiflex system promotes forefoot lock down and allows the foot to move more naturally. Contagrip LT uses lightweight sole materials to offer superior forefoot grip and traction. Contagrip HA uses more abrasion-resistant sole material to offer increased support and durability. Ortholite sockliner combines moisture-wicking fabric with an EVA heel cup to provide support and control. OS Tendon technology features a flexible TPU band between the midsole and outsole guiding the foot during foot plant promoting a smooth, even stride. Sensifit design envelops and cradles the foot for a precise fit that minimizes foot slippage. Protective toe caps resist abrasion and helps keep toes safe from bumps. Lace pockets on tongue store laces safely out of the way.

Another great shoe from Salomon! I have very high arches and usually have to use an strong carbon fiber orthotic in my Brooks running shoes (for years!). Over the past 12 months, I have been transitioning to all Salomon because to the level of comfort and support of the high arch - works for me! No orthotic! I have the XR Mission this revew is for in the *awesome* celadon/papaya color combo, the XT Wings 2, and the XT Wings GTX for all weather hiking/trails/approach. They run large, you may have to go down a 1/2 size.
