I spent a lot of time looking for a good hiking/backpacking/light mountaineering boot and finally found one! There are so many different options; truly, finding a good boot is like a work of art! Many brands like Lowa, Scarpa, Asolo, Vasque are very expensive for the type of quality this boot offers. It is made for 3 seasons and offers "e-vent" waterproof technology which is equal to "gore-tex" - if you go online and research comparison, these two offer the same performance. It is a very stiff, good looking, good quality boot, and while it appears to be a winter boot you can actually use it for backpacking or hiking. I went for a 15mi hike to test them; I had no blisters, no pain, no swelling, my feet were warm and dry and once I cleaned them there were no traces of friction or scratches. I have to say that Kayland is making their boots extremely competitive with unbeatable price, and Gearx.com delivered them fast!! I like Kayland so much that I bought another boot, though lighter version for summer - "Contact Dual". I would definitely recommend this product to a friend! Thanks Kayland!
